Komet's Contra-Angle is used as an apex locator as part of the EndoPilot endo motor.

The contra-angle is used as a apex locator during root canal therapy by transmitting a signal from the contra-angle and displaying the location of the file relative to the apex on the EndoPilot.

It is fully insulated which eliminates electrical apex location errors.
