I am delighted that Kuraray Noritake have designed a product that is an ALL in one Bottle. The chemistry has improved and the benefit is that it is faster, seals better due to the new Amide monomer which is ultra hydrophilic and enhanced photo sensitivity. This means it absorbs faster and more efficiently despite having a thin bond layer (5-10 microns). My experience also is using it in conjunction with DC Core plus, as the new UBQ works with the catalyst in DC core plus.

Clearfil Universal bond is an all-in-one bonding solution that we have been using for 2-3 years. Everything from the consistency and quality of the product, along to the strength of the bond and the support we receive has been brilliant. We have used this product in everyday orthodontic procedures including bonding of first and second molars, Invisalign attachments as well as orthodontic fixed retainers. Highly recommend it.

Clearfil Universal Bond Quick is one of my go-to’s not only because it has the original 10-MDP acidic monomer, it features a synergistic bond strength enhancement as it works together with the exclusive amide monomer, which not only wets dentin better than HEMA but has an innate flexural strength of around 120MPa in the bond layer alone. The 3s application time is comforting and shows that the bonding chemistry is not only reliable, it works instantly.
